Welcome to my 3rd mailing newsletter, End of November and December of 2016
I hope everyone has had a great Thanksgiving. We had a week off from braiding, but now I hope we are all excited to getting back to either starting those Christmas projects, starting a new project or just working on an existing project.
I want to apologize to those that did not know we had a few days off in November. Please take note of our hours for the rest of November and December. The remaining dates for November are:

Tuesday day November 29th,1-4,Tuesday evening 6-9
December hours: Tuesday days: Dec. 6, 13th, and 20th 1-4,
Tuesday nights same dates Dec. 6, 13th and 20th 6-9
No braiding between Christmas and New Years, which is Dec, 27th
Friday Day Braiding: Dec 2, Dec 9, Dec 16 all 11-2,
Sat all Day Braiding is Dec 10th 10-4.
No Braiding  on Fridays Dec 23rd and Dec 30th.
Either mark these days down or check this newsletter or check my calendar on my website. www.braidarug.com

I would like to get new students into our braiding group. If you can spread the word and you bring a new student to start, I will either give you a yard of wool or 3 lessons on the book for your efforts, I appreciate it so much.
Thank you all for your support in our braiding group and my braiding business.

I had an experience of visiting a retreat center in Kennebunk Maine. It is called The Franciscan Guest House. A really nice place. Every bedroom has their own TV, Bathroom, refrigerator, your  own heating adjustment control.
I was wondering if there were 8-18 people interested in getting together the first weekend of February to have a get together there for braiding or craft time.I do not want to infringe on the Alfred Retreat or the PA Valley Forge Braid in, so do not go if you think you can’t do both. The cost would be compatible, except those wanting private rooms. Double rooms are $60.00 per person each night. You can come Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Sunday. It is in the Famous Kennebunk Maine,  it would be in the heart of winter.  Email me at

Welcome to my 2nd mailing newsletter, Oct and November 2016
Our braiding classes are well into place. We’ve had a slow start. A few have switched to Tuesday day classes and some will switch to Friday day classes. This makes me think that Tuesday evenings are starting to be slow, therefore I am thinking in the near future I might have every other Tuesday evenings, but everyone will be notified.

The remaining dates for October are:
Tuesday day Oct 25th 1-4,Tuesday evening Oct. 25th 6-9, and Friday Oct. 28th 11-2
November Tuesday days: November 1st, 8th, 15, 1-4 no braiding Thanksgiving week the 22nd, then resuming Tuesday day again on November 29th.
November Tuesday evenings: Nov 1st. 6-9, and November 15, and November 29. Please note I did do every other Tuesday in November because of election night and because of Thanksgiving week.
Fridays days in November are: November 4th, 11th, and the 18th. no braiding on November 25th, all from 11-2.
We can all discuss about November 11th, where it’s a holiday.

Our weekend in Methuen was a huge success with over 46 participants. Pam Landry taught her first beginners class in Methuen and did an excellent job. Congrats to you Pam.
We had a huge success in our discussion on hit or miss rugs. We all learned that everyone does a hit or miss a bit different but they all come out beautiful. Some have one color wool going through the entire rug, some have 2 of the same color, some put strips in a bag and just pull them out of different bags and have no idea what color is coming out to add on to each strip. Lots of great pretty rugs.

My ugly wool challenge turned into braided acorns
Delsie Hoyts new rug
We had an ugly wool challenge that some of us participated in and Pam Landry made this cute basket with her ugly wool which wasn’t so ugly any more.
Cathy Winships continuous rug was a big hit in Methuen as well.
Another great idea is to make a large basket and put over a foot stool.
